Quick walk up and fast run down Fan Fawr
26th November 2020
One of the amazing things about my love (addiction?!) to being outside and especially walking the mountains of the Brecon Beacons and South Wales is being able to get an early start.
I had a coaching meeting with Ann later this morning and really didn’t intend to walk all the way to the top of Fan Fawr. In fact, I thought I’d only get about half ways, especially as I was stopping for photos and videos.
However that sense of being outside on such an amazing day in November really pushed me physically and mentally to achieve something I didn’t think I was capable of, and I managed to get to the top with time for a brew before running back down.
Being alone in the hills and mountains gives you a real sense of belonging to nature and a real sense of mindfulness, who you are, why you are there etc. This walk really helped me clear my head for a lot of things after a busy few weeks, not least the which of chatting to Ann later that day.
