Walking The Black Mountains – Checking a route

This 6 mile route looked easy peasy on the map. Looked good going on the ariel photos. However, when I got there the weather was…crap to say the least!!
Visibility down to 25m at times, driving rain the whole walk with me on compass bearings and pace checking every 100m. Rock slides, boggy areas, sinkholes etc made the whole walk a flipping nightmare.
I finished and was really worried it would be to hard for any of my coaches and those on my Adventure Experiences
Fiona had only ever camped at festivals, and it did make me smile when she asked about bringing a trolley to carry her camping kit with her 😉
After a quick kit check, in which I threw out more than I allowed her to take with her, and put a few other items into my own rucksack we set off on an adventure that we both really loved!
